In my magazine I will have a studio shoot for my front cover and then location shoots for the inside pages. I have thought about how I want my artist to be represented and also the image I want the artist to portray and researched into some locations were my artist could be. I have also considered any other artists that may be inside my magazine for instance in the contents page and thougth about the locations for their photos too.
My main artist, who will be featured in the article is indie, cool, controversial and quite rebellious. My artist will be known to have come from quite a less fortunate background, probably in London - not glamorous. Here are some shoots with locations that I feel could work really well with my artist.
For the location shoot of my main artist I am thinking about shooting her in quite an urban, derelict setting and I think this will add to the rawness and edge of my artist. However I still want there to be focus on the style of my artist and what they are wearing. I also like the black and white look, but I don't want my pages to be dark so might use selective colouring and only show colours on certain parts of the photo.
I especially like the setting on this music video and is similar to the location I would like to have in my own location shoot.
