Representation

The main artist within my magazine, that will appear on the front cover and feature the double page spread will be a brand new, fresh, quirky and indie female artist who should fill a gap in the market for this type of artist. She will  have a unique look and personality and be represented as not just as a really current and fresh artist but also as an indie style icon. My artist' appearance and style of dress will be on trend but also quite  quirky and ambitious. I want my artist to be someone that can set trends as well as follow trends.I want her to be seen in the media as a bit rebellious, care-free and slightly controversial  like Lilly Allen or Beth Ditto. I would like the artist to represent almost everything in the culture and lifestyle of the indie genre within the age group of 16-25.
I will use Walter Lippman's 4 functions of stereotypes to help outline the representation of my artist.
